The Plugable USBC-SATA24 USB-C to SATA Adapter Cable connects your high-throughput 2.5" SSD (and most 2.5" HDDs) to your USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 enabled system. Based on the ASMedia 1351 chipset, it offers the same USB-C connectivity and USB 3.1 Gen 2 performance as our USBC-SATA-V vertical dock, while fitting in your pocket or tech toolbox! Thanks to USB 3.1 Gen 2 performance up to 10Gbps (1,250MB/s), we are now able to break USB 3.0 5Gbps (625MB/s) speed limitations and fully utilize SATA III 6Gbps (750MB/s) of available bandwidth. The USBC-SATA24 features a premium shielded cable that provides you with drive placement flexibility without sacrificing performance. The SATA connector includes a recessed LED that shows drive activity. The compact size and fast transfer speeds makes this product ideal for high performance SSD file transfers on the go. The USBC-SATA24 USB-C to SATA Adapter Cable is powered by your USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port. That means it can power any 2.5" SATA SSD or HDD hard drive with a 5V power draw without any additional power adapter. The cable is plug-and-play ready for Windows, Mac, and Linux with the ASMedia 1351 chipset. Note that this cable is not compatible with drives that require more than 5V power draw - instead we recommend the USBC-SATA-V for those drives (some enterprise 2.5" drives and all 3.5" desktop drives).
