The cable can be used as a Micro-B to Micro-B OTG cable, or a standard Micro-B to USB cable. With the retractable Micro-B connector pulled out, it acts as an OTG cable, connecting a Micro-B device to an OTG compliant Micro-B device for charging and access to files.
